Introduction to Individual and Group Dreamwork
Exploring your dreams through keeping a dream journal, studying dream theory, and experimenting with different dreamwork practices on your own is an adventure, and a wonderful learning experience, but to enter into the full potential of dreaming and dreamwork, it is ultimately essential to work with others. Sharing your dreams with friends is a good beginning, but the support and guidance of a professional dreamworker can bring new dimensions, new depth, and new possibilities to your dream explorations: either one-on-one, or in a facilitated dream-sharing group.
Compass Dreamwork offers both Individual and Group Dreamwork, with a skilled, experienced, professional dreamworker.
Deeper levels of the dream, and deeper connections between ourselves and our world, emerge when we explore dreams together. Dreams transcend personal experience: they are not merely mine or yours, but ours.
In some cultures, dreaming is understood to be a shared field: we inhabit the dream world together just as we inhabit the waking world together. Our personal perspectives and projections shape the way that we experience the dream landscape, yet we can recognize images, ideas, patterns, and larger truths in each other’s dreams. We know this territory; even in its strangeness, it is familiar. When we engage in dreamwork together, we see new ways of looking at the dream. We also discover common ground, and often find ourselves participating in a dream that is larger than any one dreamer.
